My tag and page this week followed the ‘doodle a flower or ten’ prompt although I stencilled flowers on the tag, and used ones Roo sent me on the page. I’m not big on following the prompts and don’t do a lot of the other things, like create lists, but I love the inspiration this goup gives me.

This week’s quote was about courage, and the challenge was to incororate a boat. I used a Stampotique stamp, collage, Dylusions and Dina Wakley paints.

Gelli-ing around
I had a quick play with my 5×7″ card size and 4×4″ round gelli plates late this afternoon. I used Daler Rowney paints and a bunch of stencils. This is my fav print from the bunch; I like the happy mix of colour and scraps of pattern.

Starting my June DLP unplanner
This month we are “unravelling the past and embracing new beginnings”. I can’t think of a better theme as I work through the mental preparation videos ahead of my weight loss surgery. They want me to understand how genetics, metabolism, culture and environment, sleep, personal behaviour and psychological aspects have all contributed to me being at a point where surgery makes sense. The prep is thorough and quite challenging so it’s cool that my art ties into it, as that makes it less stressful for me.

colourmepositive week 23
This week’s quote was about opportunity. The challenge was to use ribbon but, bizarrely, my ribbon collection has vanished. I must have tidied it away too well! This page used gift wrap a friend brought back from a Museum in the USA, white Dylusions paint, Tim Holtz inks and stencils, and gesso.
