I have spent part of the day planning out how I am going to try and turn these 3 Photoshop’d photos into paintings. I’ve decided to crop the image tight, keep the colours clean, and work in acrylics. All going well, I’ll make a start on the 1st one tomorrow.

Because I have entered the International Collage Exchange I am making lots of collage as ‘practice pieces’. We have a lovely second hand shop here in Patea called Memories 4 U. I purchased some lovely buttons and ribbon the other day. They gave me my goodies in a sweet wee bag handmade out of old wallpaper.Irresistable!! So I made this colllage using the buttons, ribbon and the wallpaper 🙂

Sad news

Our beautiful bulldog Meg went to the Rainbow Bridge yesterday to be with all the other Angel dogs.In April last year she was diagnosed with lymphatic cancer and we started chemotherapy straight away. It worked well and, except for one bad week, went without any real side effects.
Before Christmas we realised the treatment was no longer working and the cancer was back. We talked through our options with our vet and talked as a family – and decided not to try a rescue protocol as Meg had clearly had enough.
We have made the last few weeks as good as possible. Yesterday morning we fed her chocolate, told her she was our best baby, and cuddled her while our wonderful vet Rebecca helped Meg leave behind her tiredness and pain.
God speed Meg – my beautiful baby girl.
