This month’s theme is love and the quote was supplied. I’m using a new A3 journal Tony bought me, so this is big. I used Distress Paints, Golden fluid acrylics, 7 Gypsies papers, Pitt pen, stencils and washi tape.

This month’s theme is love, and I loved the week’s quote, so this came together easily. I normally do a paint, stencil & pen background with no collage or photos, but wanted to include a favorite photo of Tony. This was taken at Lucy’s Gulley, on SH45, in 2012 when we were having a weekend break from caring for Mum (thanks to my sister). I’ve used Distress Paint, Dylusions paint and a couple of stencils.

This week’s challenge was to use multiple layers; there was also a great quote but I haven’t used it because I want my pages to document our lives. This is our grandson Rory, who is learning to drag race just like his Dad, Adam (seen filling the tank). I used gesso, Tim Holtz Distress paint, an old painting, gelli prints and fabric trim.

Today was the last day of CJS17, so we ended where we started, with organiser Nathalie Kalbach. Nat showed us how one of her journal pages was inspired by Cy Twombly. I’m a Cy fan, so jumped straight in. I used gesso, Distress Paints, pencils, archival ink, Pitt Big Brush pen and stamps.
