CMP week 4
I love this week’s quote and was going to do something relating to the Muslim ban in the USA and other political happenings, but then realised art is my time out from all of that. So here it is, just another journal page that made me happy in the creating. Distress paint, Dylusions paint, Dylusions stamps, stencils, Fude ball and Posca pens.

CMP week 2
This week’s quote is about discipline, which is very relevant to me as I keep learning to do all the things that go with weight loss surgery; eating the right foods, reading food labels, exercising, taking vitamins every day without fail…
I am practising creating richer backgrounds this year. Today I collaged papers, then coloured with Distress Paint, followed by stamping with Dyan Reavley stamps, and mark making with a Fude Ball (black) and white Posca pen, then a little stencilling with Tim Holtz stencils for extra contrast.

CMP17 week 1
#colourmepositive has started for 2017. I’ve decided to do single spreads this time, so it’s a square format. In 2016 I used a particular style all year and I love the cohesive look of the journal when I flip through it. This year I want to use a denser, more collagey style and develop my own mark making a bit more. This is one reason for doing single spreads; it’s easier to get the page looking really full. I am very much inspired by the work of Frieda Oxenham; you can see her work here.
I used Tim Holtz Distress paints, rubber stamps, Fude ball pen, white Posca pen, Dylusions paints, Dina Wakley wing stamps, StencilGirl and Tim Holtz stencils and collage materials.
