This is similar to yesterday’s but more intense, and equally hard to scan 😉 The background is less opaque, and the green is less chalky. Pretty close though, and it makes me happy! Dervan Matisse Naphthol scarlett, and Daler Rowney emerald with Golden Titanium white.
Tim Holtz Distress Paints, Stencil Girl stencils, various pens, Sakura white gel pen. It’s interesting that two days in a row I have treated it like a mini art journal and scrawled down all the things that are in my head – making sure they can’t be read but feeling good for getting them down on paper. It’ll be interesting to see if that continues or whether it’s just because there is a lot happening just now.
I’m already thinking that it would be amazing to show these as a single artwork at the end of the year; they’ll be really disparate but tied together by size, and possible text.
Recently I spoke at the Ikaroa Hui – it’s a library thing. I made a bunch of Gelli-plate index cards with key words on them, then promptly forgot to share the Power Point I had made of them. Doh! So here are a few of them; some are words from ‘Instructions for a bad day’ by Shane Koyczan. BTW I got into index cards thanks to the wonderful Roo (Ruth Cahill) – thanks Ruth!
