Playing with lights and shadows
Nothing concrete (excuse the pun!) just messing round with some o’possum leg bones, a strip of concrete driveway and the long shadows created by the setting sun.Something may eventuate out of this play, or maybe not. Either way, time spent playing with light is never wasted time for an artist. -
GPP Crusade No 14 – who is your Muse?
Michelle Ward asked “who is your Muse?”. Hmm, I didn’t know, wasn’t sure I even had one… I have been thinking on this for days.In the end the answer was easy, so easy I kept discarding it. My Muse is my husband Tony. We’ve been together for 15 years, married for 10. I was not really doing any art when we met but over the years it has come to occupy more and more of my time (okay, and the spare spaces in our house!). And he’s always been cool with it.Sometimes he does not ‘get’ what I make, does not understand why I like it, or what I could possibly do with it. But he never fusses about all the hours, all the products, all the mess. How cool is that? -
Out front and on film

Yep, I got out from behind the camera, and put myself on film.
Okay, okay, I admit it – I was both behind the camera and in front of it.Huh??
I took the photo in our bedroom mirror, with the camera held to one side.
I’m quite pleased with the result – tidying up an image like this in Photoshop works wonders. -
Little bundles of inspiration
I find these wee chooks, that live on the side of the road, very inspiring. I think it’s partly that they are so cute, but also their cocky Independence appeals to me. And for a few crisps, they pose wonderfully 🙂
