Seeing the world through curious eyes

I think *really* looking is the key to making art. Seeing the world with interested eyes, looking for colour, pattern and form. Recently we looked after a friend’s farm for a few days and I spotted this colourful character in the orchard.

Great photo! I’d be interested to know what type of insect that is (looks like a GIANT bee!), and what kind of fruit he was crawling on, too. Thanks for visiting my blog! 🙂

I love that, Cath! Being an artist is to be more observant than the average bear, don’t you think? It’s a blessing and a curse.

Fabulous shot – interesting contrast between the wasp’s abdomen and the round squashy grapes.

Beautiful guy! Ever notice how nature makes NO mistakes when choosing a palette?

That’s a gogeous photo, a love the little speck of colour amongst the fruit.
