I was away for 5 days with work, so am late posting for week 11. The quote was about intuition and the challenge was to add an animal to the page. I loved the chance to use my StencilGirl elephant stencil.

DP unplanner week 10
This weekend it was time to set up my unplanner for March with a month view calendar, a blank list for recording who knows what, and the first of this month’s PACs. I’ve gone for collaged gelli prints with stencilling over the top as a base for my pages. The theme is about finding value in the small things and I knew straight away what I needed to record. Every few years the migrating swallows find their way to our back yard for a rest on the washing line. It’s always amazing to see them – I have no idea how they end up in Patea, and why only every few years, but I am grateful they are an occasional part of our lives.

In my art journal
While I was doing the #colourmepositive challenge, I used my art journal to stamp off extra paint etc; I ended up with a bright floral background so used watered down gesso to knock the bottom half back a bit. I stamped my new Dyan Reaveley stamps, Lulu and Winston, onto card, coloured them with Distress Markers and cut them out. The quote is about Tony and I…

#colourmepositive week 10
This week’s quote was about beauty, and how our value is not in how we look. The extra challenge was to use flowers. I used Golden fluid acrylics, Dylusions paints, a range of stencils, a Fudeballpen and a photo. The journalling was quite personal, even by by standards, so I covered over it.
