This time I started with a photo of a cabbage tree blowing in the wind, with the Tasman Sea in the background. I like the swirling effect in this, it reminds me of sand swirling round on the shore.

18_365 : Working on design
As part of my art studies I am taking a minor in design. I have been thinking about turning some of my paintings into fabric or collage designs using Photoshop. This piece started as a watercolour and Indian Ink painting of the sunset and has been digitally altered.At the weekend, when I have more time to clean up the mess, I am going to try printing it onto fabric. I may also try printing it onto watercolour paper to use in a collage.

For a long time now I have had a fascination with the sunsets we see looking out across the golf course to the Tasman Sea.This started as mixed media on black paper, then was worked on further in Photoshop. The final image in 6×7.2″.
